30th Anniversary Exhibition at Conduit Gallery — June 28, 6 p.m. 1626 Hi Line Dr. Ste C. Dallas, TX 75207.

Conduit celebrates 30 years since owner Nancy Whitenack opened the space in Deep Ellum during Dallas cultural boom in the 1980s. For more on that story, check out a Q&A I did with Whitenack for the July issue of D Magazine (not yet available online, but check back later this week). This is the first in a two-part exhibition that will feature Conduit’s gallery artists from the past 30 years.

Susan Sleaze Fest & VHS Swap at Vice Palace — June 28, 7 p.m. 500 Singleton Blvd. Dallas, TX 75212.

This VHS swap and punk show is a fundraiser for Lazy Susan, billed as a “psychedelic horror film” and the “scariest acid-tripping, devil worshiping evil twin movie evah!” Presented by Alli Lowe’s Total Twit & THRWD, Arthur Pena’s Vice Palace continues to provide the Dallas scene with a decent dose of off-beat legitimacy.
