The new version of the television show Dallas will soon begin shooting, throwing attention, no doubt on Dallas’ reputation for gaudy glitz and glam. To preempt the resurrection of such cliches, author Ben Fountain writes this piece in the New York Times which highlights another side of Dallas, exemplified by the Kessler Theater, which shows how New Dallas does things small, local, and community-focused.
