It’s a a brand new year of giveaways, and we have just the ticket to ring in 2013 the right way. The Eisemann center is kicking things off with a new “Living Black & White” production that’s sure to captivate your imagination. This innovative stage technique was first developed at Pegasus Theatre and features the use of secret make-up tricks, special lighting, and specific set and costume design to give the effect of watching a black and white movie come to life.
XSR: Die! (cleverly abbreviating theater lingo for Cross Stage Right and die) follows the backstage story of a Broadway show. It is the opening night of acclaimed playwright, Clayton Farrell’s latest production and the trouble begins when the overbearing director attempts to make last minute changes to the most climactic scene. Suddenly, a shot is fired and the plot quickly turns into a whodunit murder mystery. Lindsey Wilson gives further encouragement for the production here. If you would like to check out a showing of this clever performance, we’re giving away two pairs of tickets to two lucky winners for Friday night’s show (January 11th) if you can answer this question: who can we accredit for developing the Living Black & White technique? He also happens to play a lead role in the production.
