Aug. 26The second installment of FrontRow’s film series continues August 26 at 9 p.m. with North Dallas Forty, as well as the short “Dallas at a Crossroads.” If the series is new to you, here’s the briefing: We asked six individuals involved in the Dallas art scene to choose a film in response to this question: “What film do you believe people living in Dallas today should see?” This month’s films focus on two powerful components of Dallas culture — football and race — and they were chosen and will be introduced by Dallas Video Festival maestro and founder, Bart Weiss.
The second distinguishing characteristic of our series is that we hold it in a different location each month. In August, the screening will be held at 634 W. Davis in Oak Cliff. The space, Kemp Garage, is a vacant retail storefront on Davis St. that is owned and has been remodeled by David Spence’s Good Space. The building is adjacent to another David Spence renovation: the Settlers Garage building that now houses Bolsa.
Space is limited, so to attend, RSVP by filling out the form that is after the jump. We’ve also included a couple of questions soliciting feedback on FrontRow –thanks for your help with those. Looking forward to seeing you at the screening.
