By now you’ve read Will Arbery’s conversation with Mates of State and have checked out some of their stuff on their Myspace page and are dying to get into that show at the Granada tomorrow night. Well, good news. We have a pair of tickets to giveaway. Be the first person to email me (peter.simek@dmagazine.com) your top five duo bands (that’s two official members – if the band takes more members on tour, that’s fine). And . . . go.

Update: The tickets are long gone. Thanks for playing.

I’m already going to the show, but I just wanted to list mine.
Matt & Kim (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZt1i1ruK34)
Death from Above 1979 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Wnl9PpnTXI)
Blackalicious (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foEU2WHdOzA&feature=related)
White Stripes (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q27BfBkRHbs)
UGK & Outkast (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=awMIbA34MT8)
These were our winner’s picks:
Matt & Kim
Kris Kros
Eurythmics
White Stripes
Simon and Garfunkel
Though I still haven’t seen my top two in the any of the entries:
Pet Shop Boys
Arling and Cameron. “Dirty Robot”= instant classic.
Thanks for the tickets!
Yeah, my picks were definitely rushed, as you might imagine. I would’ve included Death from Above, as well as Pet Shop Boys, had I had more time to think on it.
Though, as a child of the late 80s and early 90s, I can’t apologize for Kris Kross at number 2.
